Obituary for Edward L. "Eddie" Kellenberger

Edward L. “Eddie” Kellenberger, 76, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 29, 2018 at his residence following a brief illness. Born in Paradise, he was the son of the late Enos and Daisy Rapp Kellenberger. He and his wife, Kathleen A. Bucciarelli Kellenberger would have been married for 41 years in September.

Eddie was employed as a supervisor by Sporting Valley Turf Farm in Manheim for more than 37 years. In his younger years, he helped to build the former Indian Springs Golf Course, now Four Seasons Golf Course, and was a superintendent there.

In addition to enjoying traveling, Eddie had a passion for playing golf. He was a member of the Lancaster Liederkranz and the Germania Band Club of Manheim. Most of all, Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Anita, wife of Eric Hill, of Randleman, NC, Diane Lesher of Lancaster, and Brenda Finley, companion of Doug Hinton, Sr., of Washington Boro; two stepsons, Todd Kaylor of York, and Tony Kaylor, companion of Deborah Hoffer, of Lititz; seven grandchildren, Angel, Shaun, Nadine, Nicole, James, Summer Rae, and Kenneth; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Enos Kellenberger, Jr., of New Providence. He was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Harold Kellenberger, Lester Kellenberger, Verna Mae Murphy, Raymond Kellenberger, Irene Mackey, Helen Ferguson, and Betty Mull.

A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held on Friday September 7, 2018 at 11AM at the Hempfield Church of the Brethren, 1186 Stevens Street, Manheim, 17545. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive guests at the church on Friday from 10AM until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
