Obituary of Beverly Anna Earhart
Beverly Anna Earhart, 84, of Lititz, PA, passed peacefully at home on Sunday morning, March 9, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Germany Valley in Huntington County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas M. and Norma K. Lansbury Goshorn.
Beverly was a 1959 graduate of Warwick High School and a member of Ross Street United Methodist Church in Lancaster. Prior to retiring in 2010, she was employed for 25 years as a telephone operator by The Heart Group. She was also employed as a unit clerk by Lancaster General Hospital and a manager for various hospitality businesses in the area. She was also a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels in Lititz.
Beverly was a sweet and giving person who faced her challenges with a determination for change. Affected by agoraphobia, she formed a support group for others also suffering from anxiety of crowds and crowded spaces. Her tenacity led to her own healing and the healing of many others.
Beverly enjoyed watching football and was a diehard Kansas City Chiefs and Notre Dame fan. She was also a competitive player of checkers and 500 Rummy.
Her family is grateful for the support of Penn Medicine Home Health, Advanced Home Health, and United Zion Communities during Beverly’s decline in health.
She is survived by two daughters, Debora A. Earhart of Lititz and Susan A, Kimmet of Manheim; three grandchildren, Nicolas M. Kimmet, Shawn D. Rittenhouse, and Gunner T. Earhart; three great grandsons; a sister, Mary E., wife of Gary H. Caldwell, Denver, PA; a sister-in-law, Linda J. Goshorn of Lititz; and furbabies, Lilly and Cleo. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth M. Earhart, Jr.; an infant great granddaughter, Bella Nichole Kimmet; and two brothers, Earl H. Goshorn and Thomas W. Goshorn.
A memorial service will be held on Friday morning, March 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Grace Church, 501 West Lincoln Avenue, Lititz, PA. There will be no public viewing.
