I had met Connie through our Life Group attending LCBC Church. She was an inspiration of happiness. I enjoyed talking to her & glad she gave me encouragement to lean on God. Connie gave answers to many issues. I am grateful to have known her & will miss her. I pray for her family & friends to find the strength in her memory and laughter.

My deepest sympathy to Lindy, Joey and families. As you know I worked with your mom many years at Farm Credit and shared many good times in and out of office! Your mom definitely had a keen eye for decorating.
Lindy, I still have the recipe of yours for Swedish Meatballs that your mom gave me(believe it is your handwriting) and I use it to this day!
Believe me, I know the pain of losing a mom. I'll be praying for all of you.

I met Connie at the worst time in my life. I discovered my husband was living secret lives and just up and left. I was devastated and had no idea what to do next. All my friends and family lived out of town. Behind the desk at my gym, I saw a friendly woman and noticed she wasn't wearing a wedding ring. My mind was a bit crazed at the time and I just went up to her and blurted out, "are you single?!!" Not realizing how it sounded at the time. She gave me a quizical look and cautiously said "yes". I exclaimed, "what do single people do??!" After explaining myself, dear Connie invited me to go out dancing with her and then invited me to her singles Bible study group. I subsequently was saved! Connie and I often shared a laugh about how I tried to "pick her up" at the gym. She will forever hold a special place in my heart. Looking forward to seeing her again!

My heart is heavy. She was such a fun cousin. We had many escapades growing up. I'm sorry she had to suffer this terrible disease. Rest in peace Connie. You were well loved and will be missed by so many.
