Obituary of Connie L. Summy

Connie L. Summy, 66, of Manheim, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, as she was surrounded by loved ones, on Saturday morning, April 19, 2025, at home, following a long battle with cancer.  Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Shirley E. Rowland Gregg.  She was the wife of George R. Summy for 10 years on November 26.

Connie attended LCBC Manheim Campus where she enjoyed volunteering in the kitchen with others preparing and serving food for church meetings and events.  She also enjoyed taking trips with the LCBC Prime Time travel group.

Connie earned an associate degree in business from Elizabethtown College.  Prior to retiring in 2020 from BB&T as a commercial loan officer, she had a long career in banking with various banks. 

She had an eye for home décor and would always be bargain shopping for just the right accessories to add to her home.  Connie maintained lifelong friendships and loved to host others in her home.  She was always happy to spend time at the shore, especially Ocean City, MD.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Lindy N., wife of Matthew Loercher, of Mountville, and Joseph L. Walker of Millersville; two granddaughters, Alivia Loercher and Alexa Loercher; and four siblings, Theodore Gregg of Shrewsbury, Cindy, wife of Kevin Manuel, of Washington Boro, Rosa, wife of Daniel Herr, of Willow Street, and Alisa, wife of Steven Eshach, of Quarryville.
