Patricia M. Lane

April 18, 1936 – June 29, 2025

Patricia (Pat) M. Lane, 89, of Elizabethtown, PA, formerly of Chambersburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, June 29, 2025, at Masonic Village Health Care Center.

Born in Coldwater, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late R. Dale and Ruth Pew Mark. She was married to the late John G. Lane for 56 years, until his death in 2015.

Pat was a dedicated homemaker who operated a home-based cake decorating business for over 30 years, specializing in wedding cakes known for their detail and artistry.

She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mount Joy and previously a longtime, active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Chambersburg, where she volunteered in various ministries. She also volunteered at Chambersburg Hospital.

An active member of several Masonic organizations, Pat belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, Elizabethtown Chapter No. 407, and was a life member of the Golden Sheaf Chapter No. 226 in Hoisington, Kansas. She held numerous leadership roles in the Order of the Amaranth, including serving as Grand Royal Matron of Pennsylvania. She was also a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, Charles Nitterhouse Post No. 1599 in Chambersburg.

She is survived by her son, Mark D. Lane and his wife, Michele Partridge-Lane, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her daughter, Susan Mark Todd; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, John Robert Lane, and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held on Monday afternoon, July 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 58 South 2nd Street, Chambersburg, PA. There will be no viewing.
