Obituary of Michael Artim
Michael Artim, 78, of Elizabethtown, PA, formerly of Allentown, transitioned from his earthly presence to spiritual energy on Saturday morning, May 10, 2025 at Evergreen Hospice Inpatient Center of Masonic Village. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stephen and Vera Artim. He was the husband of Carole A. Sudall Artim for 38 years.
Initially employed in the engineering dept of Air Products in Allentown, Mike’s true calling was helping others receive relief from life’s struggles. He became a licensed massage therapist (medical), a career that brought him great satisfaction. Mike’s unique ability to sense the problem and correct the system involved using various massage and energy techniques improved people’s lives.
Mike bred and showed Golden Retrievers, but his passion was to help humans and dogs coexist and thrive together. He worked with various dog rescues to rehabilitate troubled dogs. With the support of the Allentown Sertoma Club, he learned to train dogs for people with disabilities. Mike’s knowledge, compassion and intuition made life easier and happier for many.
Mike served his community as a member of the Allentown bicentennial committee and was a member and Past Master of Greenleaf Lodge, No. 561, F&AM. He was a charter member and Past Master of Lehigh Valley Day Lodge, No. 813 and a member of Lehigh Valley Consistory. Mike was an active member of the Rajah Shrine and the Shrine member clubs: Caravaners and Anglers. Rajah Shrine and its associated clubs support the Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
Mike’s hobbies were fly fishing, making his own flies, photography and watching NASCAR, or any races with wheels. Watching baseball and football was always a priority.
Surviving in addition to Carole is his brother, Edward, husband of Debra Artim of Wescosville; and three nephews, Edward Artim, Jr., Stephen Artim, and Ryan Artim.
