Obituary of Vera E. Good
Vera E. Good, 92, of Manheim, PA, entered the gates of heaven on Friday, October 10, 2025. Born in Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Henry P. and Ellen M. Martin Fox. She was the wife of the late Paul T. Good for 61 years prior to his passing in 2017.
Vera was a faithful member of Erb Mennonite Church where she was active in the sewing circle. In addition to caring for her family, she helped her husband on their family farm. She also was employed for 20 years by Stoltzfus Caterers, during which time she made countless pies. Others, including her family, were always in awe of the superb quality of her pies, especially the crust!
In addition to creating beautiful cross stitch pieces, Vera also found time to piece over 2,000 comforters that were donated through Mennonite Central Committee. She also had a talent for quilting. Each of her children, 12 grandchildren and her 16 great grandchildren all have a quilt stitched and given to them by Vera. She also quilted at MCC.
Surviving are four children, Linda, wife of Edward Denlinger, P. Timothy, husband of Sandra Weaver Good, Thomas, husband of Cynthia Lowe Good, and Lori, wife of David Painter, all of Lititz; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; eight siblings, Ellen Eberly, of Stevens, Sara, wife of Walter Augsburger, of Reinholds, Galen Fox of Ephrata, Ruth Fellabaum of Ephrata, John, husband of Kathy Fox, of Manheim, Dan, husband of Diane Fox, of Ephrata, Marian Gaffney of Reamstown, and Carol, wife of Charles Evans, of Ephrata; and a brother-in-law, John Zimmerman of Ephrata.
