She previously lived in Gretna Springs, Manheim, as well as Chester, NJ. Born in Omaha, NE, Ginny was the daughter of the late Harold B. and Laurel (Clark) Symes. She was also preceded in death by her brother, George J. Symes. Ginny was married to William Bruce McMillin, Jr. for 68 wonderful years.

As a young woman, Ginny studied at the University of Washington, trained as a flight attendant and flew with both United (domestic) and Slick (international) airlines.  After their marriage in 1957, Ginny and Bruce lived in Wales, UK for two years, where their oldest daughter, Marilyn, was born.  After returning to the US, they settled in Chester, NJ, built a home and welcomed two more daughters, Linda and Amy. As time went by, Ginny became a real estate agent, then broker, and along with Bruce, founded The McMillin (Real Estate) Agency.

Ginny enjoyed gardening, bird watching and reading. Family trips were something she always looked forward to and planned well. She had a kind and compassionate heart, loved animals, taking in many that needed a home.  As a committed Christian, Ginny taught children’s Sunday school and was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Chester, NJ.

Upon retirement, Ginny and Bruce traveled to Israel, fulfilling a dream of visiting the Holy Land. After visiting family and friends, they joined the SOWER ministry (Servants on Wheels Ever Ready) and traveled by RV over four years, throughout the U.S. and into Mexico.

Eventually, Ginny and Bruce settled in Gretna Springs and joined Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, Ephrata, where Ginny was a member for 23 years. She volunteered in many areas, including the food pantry at Water Street Mission in Lancaster. Ginny was also a member and past president of the Gideon’s International Auxiliary, Lancaster North Camp.
