Obituary of D'Evian Starnowsky

D’Evian “Dee” Starnowsky, 19 of Lancaster, PA, passed from her family’s arms into the arms of Jesus on Saturday afternoon, January 31, 2026 at Bob Fryer and Family Inpatient Center of Hospice and Community Care following a courageous 3-year battle with osteosarcoma. Dee was born in Lancaster on February 3, 2006.

Dee attended Calvary Church and was active in the youth ministries. Despite her health challenges, she graduated from Manheim Twp. High School in 2024. Dee was a kind soul that would light up a room with her big smile and zest for life. She was always quick with a joke and had a heart full of dreams. She loved her dogs Oliver and the late Bear. She also had a creative talent for making arts and crafts and was very particular about her hair and nails. Dee loved children, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved waterparks, swimming pools and the beach. Dee would pass time by scrolling Tik-Tok and even created some of her own material.

She is survived by her birth mother, Holly Mangual-Alicea, wife of Virgilio, of Columbia; her maternal grandparents who raised her, Terry L. and Brenda J. (Boyer) Starnowsky of Lancaster; seven siblings, Janina, Alexis, and Malaki Starnowsky, Marcella and Marilys Smucker, and Izaiah and Xavier Thaxton; and two aunts, Heather Starnowsky of Berea, OH and Ann Force, wife of Vincent, of Narvon. She was preceded in death by her father, Parrish Thaxton.
