Obituary of Anna Mae Kulp
Anna Mae Kulp, 95, of Manheim, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday afternoon, March 15, 2026 at Pleasant View Retirement Community. She was born in Manheim Twp., Lancaster County, PA, to the late Clarence H. and Ella Mae (Dittman) Rhoads and was the 6th of nine children. She was the wife of the late Robert G. Kulp for 71 years prior to his death in 2021.
Anna Mae was an active and oldest member of Chiques Church in Manheim where she sang in the adult choir for 40 years and with a ladies quartet. She was a 1949 graduate of Manheim Twp. High School and worked part-time at the former WT Grant store during her senior year. She also had an after-school job packing Wilbur Buds for Wilbur Chocolate Factory. As an adult, Anna Mae was employed by the former Hamilton Watch Company in Lancaster where she worked in the Stocks and Stores office. Later, she was employed by S. Clyde Weaver, working at their Lebanon Market stand for 21 years. She was also employed as a cashier by Weis Market in Manheim and as bookkeeper for her husband's auto restoration shop from 1983-2003.
She was a member of Hershey Region Automobile Club. Anna Mae also volunteered at Pleasant View Retirement Community, working in the General Store for ten years. She enjoyed painting with oils, watercolors, and pastels.
She is survived by three children, Robert, Jr., husband of Patti (Shroyer) Kulp, of Lititz, Wesley D., husband of Dena (Blair) Kulp, of Manheim, and Brenda L. Ruhl, of Manheim; two grandsons, Dylan and Davis Ruhl; and a great grandson, Dean. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey N. Kulp, and eight siblings, Mabel Gochnauer, Arlene Andrew, Kathyrn Dubs, Paul Rhoads, Hilda Douple, Clarence Rhoads, Jr., Stella Steffy, and Ruth Ditzler
A memorial service will be held on Thursday afternoon, March26, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, PA. Private interment was in Chiques Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. Please omit flowers. If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice For All Seasons, 280 S.
