Obituary of Rodney L. Lutz

Rodney L. Lutz, 84, of Manheim, PA, formerly of Rothsville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Howard G. and Mildred M. (Hoover) Lutz.  He was the husband of Diane E. (Thompson) Lutz of Lititz for 62 years on December 21.

Rodney was a 1960 graduate of Warwick High School and a lifelong member of Middle Creek Church, Lititz. He was employed for 50 years at Wilbur Chocolate in Lititz.  In addition to playing volleyball and being an avid reader, Rodney taught himself to play piano by ear.  His life was defined by his faith and devotion to family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Kelly Tucker, companion of Charlie Mohn, of Lititz, and Patrick, husband of Tracy Lutz, of Delray Beach, FL; and five grandchildren, Katie (Tucker) Will, Jordan Tucker, Graham Lutz, Claire Lutz, and Everett Lutz.
