Obituary of Warren L. Shirk

Warren L. “Sonny” Shirk, 80, of Manheim, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at his home.  Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Joseph K. and Mary Strohm Shirk. He was the devoted long-time companion of the late Mary L. Ringler.

Sonny was employed at the former Raybestos plant for many years before its closing. He was also a driver for Manheim Auto Auction. He enjoyed deer hunting and working on cars. Sonny was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is survived by sisters Patricia Gebhard, of Ephrata, Barbara Shenigo, of Manheim, Marie Engle, of Ephrata, and brother Mahlon “Dick”, husband of Pauline Shirk, of Manheim. He was preceded in death by a son, Dale L. Ringler, and five siblings, Josephine Ella, Harvey Shirk, Carl Shirk, Jane Mumma and Paul Shirk.
