Obituary of Carolyn Forker Buck

Carolyn F. Buck, 86, of Lititz, formerly of Freehold, NJ and Findley Lake, NY, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Lancaster General Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in East Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Gordon M. and Theda Jane Justice Forker. She was the wife of Robert W. Buck, with whom she married on January 2, 1960 and shared 66 years of marriage.

Carolyn was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lititz, where she directed the bell choir and sang duets with her husband. She provided private piano and voice lessons to students for many years. She was a former member and officer of the Cecilian Music Club, Monmouth Civic Chorus, and the Jayceettes, all in Monmouth County, NJ.

Carolyn loved the Lord and served Him with her whole life. Her life was full of love and music, showering  everyone she met with warmth, kindness, and a song. To know her is to love her! She made everyone feel welcome, safe, and loved, always sharing her beautiful smile. May we all take a page out of her book and continue her legacy by living love out loud.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Robert, her children, David Robert Buck, Susan Louise Morris, Jo Ann wife of Fred Geck, and Sarah Elizabeth wife of Jeremiah Poague; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Patricia Meredith, Jane Bibeault and James G. Forker. She was preceded in death by her brother, David N. Forker.

Viewings will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at William P. Spence Funeral & Cremation Services, 40 N Charlotte St., Manheim PA 17545. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11 AM at Manor Church, 530 Central Manor Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603 with a luncheon to follow.
