Obituary of Gary G. Campbell
Gary G. Campbell, 71, of Manheim, PA, entered the presence of heaven on Tuesday morning, July 7, 2026, at Abbeyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster. Born in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Gary H. and Arlene A. Bieber Campbell. He was the husband of Debra Baker Campbell for 51 years, as of February 15.
Gary was a member of Lancaster Evangelical Free Church, where he previously taught adult Sunday school classes. He also was an organist for other local churches. Gary was employed in the automotive business for 30 years, beginning by reconditioning cars at Wissler Motors. During his career, he advanced from parts manager to sales, sales manager, and service writer, and finally completed his career as a finance manager at Faulkner in Lancaster.
Gary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English education from Millersville University and a master's degree and certification to teach English as a Second Language. He was employed by Intermediate Unit #12 in York County for 12 years prior to retiring in 2019.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Elisabeth G., wife of Christopher Meier; Evelyn A., wife of Trey Sites; Nathan D., husband of Jennifer Rodman Campbell; and Sarah L. Campbell; nine grandchildren; and two siblings, Christy L., wife of William H. Bowditch, and James C. Campbell, husband of Sarah Mitchell.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday afternoon, July 15, 2026 at 3:30 PM at Witness Park, 419 Pierson Road, Lititz. There is no public viewing.
