Grandma, I can't be thankful enough that for the last few years of your life I was able to get to know you more than I ever have in my whole life. If anyone could find humor in a terrible situation, it was Mom. So our last hand of Rummy, Mom wasn't doing too well, again. Steph and I sat there laughing at her as we always did, and she said "it's the brain tumor, not me!". We didn't know if we should laugh or cry, but somehow we all busted a gut! It was always the simple things that made her happy, like playing Rummy. She ended up winning that night for the first time ever. Oh, to see her smiling face again!! Love you Mom!

Mom,
This morning was hard. Seems unreal that you are really gone. I just cant believe its true. Today I closed my eyes for a bit before having to pick up kids and I was praying for you to give me some kind of sign that you were ok. As I lay there praying the electricity went out. This is the first time we've lost power since being in the house. Over 9 years. Am I to think this just happened? I don't know. All I know is that with you and dad gone I feel so alone. I will keep going every day but part of me is lost. There is a huge whole in my heart! I love you..

I'll never forget us all going out to Shari's to get hot chocolate during a snowstorm a few years ago. when we left to go home, the parking lot was empty, so I started doing donuts in the parking lot. You were hanging on for dear life and yelling for me to stop, but your hysterical laughter gave you away! We belly laughed for 10 minutes straight as we spun right then left. I loved your laugh.
