Obituary of Lloyd Ebersole, Jr.
Lloyd Ebersole, Jr., 81, of Manheim, PA, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Monday afternoon, April 26, 2021 at UPMC Lititz. Born in Mount Joy Twp., he was the son of the late Lloyd and Margaret Halbleib Ebersole. He was the loving husband of his sweetheart, Janet L. Haldeman. He and his “Janet-girl” would have been married for 63 years on May 11.
Lloyd was a member of Chiques Church in Manheim. A man of many talents, he worked various jobs until he found his preferred vocation as a compressor technician for the Fueller Company where he also produced patented technical manuals for equipment. He retired at age 65.
In addition to flower and vegetable gardening, he enjoyed cultivating fruit trees and anything related to vintage farm equipment, including hit and miss engines. Lloyd loved animals and pets, especially his feline companion, Shadow. Lloyd always expressed his appreciation to others by saying “Thank you” for everything.
In addition to his Janet-girl, he is survived by five children, L. Jeffery, husband of Doris Ebersole, of Elizabethtown, Bonnie, wife of Larry Hershey, of Manheim, Terry, husband of Beth Ebersole, of Marietta, Doyle, husband of Tina Ebersole, of Middletown, and Roseate, wife of Mark Shuman, of Ephrata; 19 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Williams of Mount Joy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by other brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 2, 2021 at 3:30 PM at Chiques Church, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, PA 17545. Interment will be private. The family will receive guests at the church on Sunday afternoon from 2:30 PM until the time of the service.
