Obituary of Donna L. Satchell

Donna L. Satchell, 65, of Wormleysburg, PA, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday morning, June 26, 2021 of natural causes.  Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late George W. Satchell, Jr. and the late Ann L. Watson Satchell.

Early in her adult life, Donna completed training as a dental assistant and was employed as a dental professional.  She had an affinity for senior adults and developed a close relationship for those whom she provided home care.

She was enthusiastic about drum and bugle corps and was a member and percussionist of the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps.  She marched in many parades and competitions for nearly a decade.  When she was no longer marching, Donna became a fan of the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps.  She was also an avid NHL fan, especially the Philadelphia Flyers.

She is survived by a sister, Debora J., wife of Larry R. Gibble, of Elizabethtown; a brother, Daniel T., husband of Joan A. Satchell, of Claymont, DE; a niece, Melissa Satchell Clerval, wife of Robert Clerval, of Wilmington, DE; and a nephew, Shawn Satchell of Claymont.  Donna’s family also included her cats which she loved.
