Obituary of David A. Eckert

David A. Eckert, 65, of Marietta, PA, formerly of Audubon, NJ, passed away Sunday morning, December 26, 2021 at home while he was sleeping.  Born in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late George Wayne and Elizabeth “Betty” Tilton Eckert.  He was the husband of Leanne Krow Eckert for 19 years on April 6.

Dave was a partner at LCBC Church where he served on the security team.  He was employed for more than 40 years as an electrician.  One of his favorite past times was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Andrew K., husband of Catherine Eckert, and their children, Adrian and Lucas, of Hurt, VA, and Daniel A., husband of Beth Eckert, and their children, Jackson, Kellen, and Reagan, of North Wales, PA; two step children, Nicole, wife of Jared Geib, and their daughter, Rylee, of Marietta, and Matthew Kolp of Little Elm, TX; and two brothers, Stephen, husband of Cynthia Eckert, of Speculator, NY, and Mark, husband of Suzanne Eckert, of Bonita Springs, FL.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday morning, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at LCBC, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim, PA.  Please use the West Wing Entrance.  There will be no public viewing.  The family will receive guests from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  If desired, contributions may be made to Speranza Animal Shelter, 1216 Brandt Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 or to an animal shelter of the donor’s choice.  To express a condolence with the family or for additional information, visit www.spencefuneralservices.com.
