Aunt Ruthie was always so happy to see me and her hugs were the most genuine hugs of all. I know right now she and David are laughing about us earth bounds and rejoicing together. Ruthie took a secret with her. I thought she would share with me at some point how she did it but I never found out. Here's the thing. We would have contests to see who's lifesaver would last the longest. She ALWAYS won. Mine would be a tiny sliver of a ring on my tongue and when she showed me hers you could still see "lifesaver" imprinted on it. I never saw her take it out or put a new one in. Perhaps she was a great magician, and perhaps I'm just easy to fool. I miss you champion.

Dear Cunningham Cousins,
I speak for the Reiff side of the family when I say how much Ruth meant to us all. I remember well the day when Amos first brought Ruth to Illinois to meet the Arnold and Bob Reiff families. We were all delighted with her and have continued to be through the years. When I called mother to tell her of Ruth's passing, she said she remembers you and Ruth visiting them on the farm in a camper, Amos, and that you slept in the camper rather than in the house.
I have a special memory and photo of your family visiting Rex and I at Camp Ithiel in Florida when the girls were two months old. Mark is holding Margo and Todd Smith who was with you was holding Abbie, with the rest of the family looking on.
Amos, although we did not see each other often, you and Ruth filled a gap for our girls when we lived in Maryland away from grandparents. You both have held a special place in their hearts as well.
Our prayers are with you all.
Love and peace, Peggy

Dear Amos, Joan and Mark,
We wish to share with you the sadness we feel knowing that your lovely wife and mother has passed. But we are sure that her smile remains in your heart and all the memories she has given are joyous ones.
Amos, I remember Ruth’s service to Solanco. The students benefited from her care. Joan and Mark, I remember you both as fine young people. I am sure that your mother felt great pride in you both.
Take care. With sympathy,
Jim Kopf and Linda Kopf.
