I remember Aunt Anna as a kind, gracious woman. I don’t recall ever hearing an unkind word coming from her mouth. I remember her sitting at the church organ smiling and playing with all kinds of talent. I remember her singing. I remember her beautiful, clean well organized house. I remember playing with my cousins at her house. I remember her serving with Uncle Musser as deacons alongside my parents. What an amazing woman she was. What a legacy she leaves!

I hold all my memories of Aunt Anna special. From some of my earliest at Christmas dinner at the Espenshade farmstead to more recent ones at our Espenshade reunions, She was ever welcoming, cheerful, encouraging and in my mind, beautiful. I have never heard her speak a discouraging or disparaging word. When talking to her and looking into her eyes, I couldn’t help but feel peace, knowing that here was woman full of love for the Lord and for all his children. I miss Anna already but will never forget the peace and love that being in her presence inspired.

I remember Aunt Anna making me chocolate milk and putting an egg in it and also making me peanut butter toast and she would get my brother Dustin and I off to school was a wonderful woman and God has one awesome Angel in heaven
