Dr.Wennberg was an amazing professor. He was always pushing me to do better and never accept something as just getting done. I still think of the dark room and getting my photos done and long hours at Steinman.Even when he pushed you hard to do better he always had a genuine interest in you and your well-being. What a kind and good hearted man, condolences to his family and those who knew him and were touched by him.

I was so sorry to hear this news. "Dr. W" had a huge impact on my life and my career. I am glad I got to know him better after the first day in class when he tried to scare all of us freshmen with "Keep it Simple, Stupid," and, "A project is never finished, it simply comes due." I am so grateful for not only the classroom lessons -- but, more importantly -- the life lessons. I apply them to this day. Behind that tough exterior was such a caring person. Thank you for impacting my life, Dr. W -- and, the lives of so many of us.
Linda, Steven & Melissa -- so sorry for your loss. He was a great guy and I am sure a great husband and dad. I will never forget all that I learned from him. -- Ann McClure, Class of '92

Dr. Wennberg was funny, helpful, and above all else, caring. He met my mother and I on a visit and I could tell that he truly cared about every single student he advised at Elizabethtown. My family and I send our deepest condolences. I would not be as fortunate as I am today without having met him and following his guidance.

I met a much younger Hans-Erik when my wife and I purchased the Wennberg home shortly after the death of Hans Jacob, his Father, while tending his roses. Edith Wennberg, his Mother, was a gracious woman whose concern for her son was quite obvious. Hans-Erik, as she called him, reflected the goodness his Mother's love brought to his life. Hans Jacob was a naval architect who designed the ship "United States." The speed of that ship has never been disclosed as troops and cargo were still primarily moved on ships post WWII. He was also a skilled carpenter who custom built Hans-Erik's train set. We were happy to give Edith a built-in cabinet he had fashioned for her. The Wennberg name survived in our neighborhood for a very long time.
May Hans-Erik rest in peace.
