Obituary of Betty Ann M. Taylor

Betty Ann M. Zechman Taylor, 87, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Thursday afternoon, August 8, 2024 at Providence Place in Lancaster.  Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Helen Zechman Felty and raised by her maternal grandparents.  Betty Ann was the longtime partner of James J. Cooper for over 30 years.

 

Betty Ann enjoyed the 30 years she was employed as a waitress at Good and Plenty Restaurant in Smoketown.  She was also employed as a waitress at various other restaurants during her career.  She enjoyed engaging with people, especially going out regularly for breakfast with her friends. She was also a pianist and played for church worship services for many years.

 

In addition to Jim, she is survived by three daughters, Lori, wife of Philip Stoltzfus, of Brownstown, Lesa, wife of Tom Olsen, of Georgia, and Lynda LaBar of Harrisburg; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Jean Blouch of Lebanon; and a brother-in-law, Ken Humphreyville of Florida.   She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Dunlap and Linda Humphreyville.

 

A memorial service will be held on Friday morning, August 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Victory Church Ephrata,939 Linden Road, Ephrata, PA 17522. Interment will be private in Pleasant Hill Chapel Cemetery, Jonestown, PA.  There will be no public viewing.  The family will receive guests at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. To express a condolence with the family, visit www.spencefuneralservices.com.
