M. Elizabeth "Libby" Finkbiner, 99, of Slate Run, PA, formerly of the Pottstown area, died on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Masonic Health Care Center in Elizabethtown, PA surrounded by her loving family. Born in Charlestown, PA, she was the only child of Francis W. and Myrtle E. Hartman Keane. She was the wife of the late Jacob H. Finkbiner who died in 1992.
A homemaker, Libby was a member of Cedar Run Baptist Church in Cedar Run. She was a graduate of Phoenixville High School. The loves in her life included her family, cooking delicious meals, and growing plants in her greenhouse.
She is survived by four children, Richard K., husband of Mary Ann Andrews Finkbiner, of Landisville, PA, Faye D., wife of Robert Rigg, of Raeford, NC, J. Harry Finkbiner of Slate Run, and Thomas W., husband of Debra M. Jones Finkbiner, of Slate Run; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, James R. Finkbiner.
A memorial service will be held at Cedar Run Baptist Church at a later date. There will be no viewing. The family requests that flowers please be omitted. If desired, contributions may be made in her memory to Cedar Run Baptist Church, 18577 Highway 414, Cedar Run, PA 17727.
