Edward H. "Hughie" Blake, 51, of Lititz, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed peacefully on Friday afternoon, March 16, 2012 at Essa Flory Hospice Center in Lancaster, PA with his wife by his side. Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Kathleen Braun Blake. He was the husband of Regina A. Barber Blake for one year on January 4. Hughie was baptized in the Roman Catholic faith and attended St. James Catholic Church in Lititz. He was a union electrician and was a member of the IBEW, Local #743 in Reading, PA. Hughie was an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, was a gun enthusiast, and lived life to its fullest. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Megan and Melissa Blake, both of Springfield, PA; a granddaughter, Kirstin Blake; three step sons, Peter, Christopher, and Daniel, all of Elkton, MD; a sister; and four brothers. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Instead of sending flowers, Hughie's desire was for memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
