Obituary of Elma P. Myers

Elma P. Myers, 84, formerly of Conewago Twp. and Elizabethtown, died Monday evening, April 30, 2012 at Mennonite Home, Lancaster, PA. Born in Manheim Twp., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Peifer Landis. She was the wife of the late Clarence S. Myers for 57 years prior to his death in 2010. A homemaker, Mrs. Myers was a member of Stauffer Mennonite Church in Hershey, PA. She attended Lancaster Mennonite High School. In her early years, she had an interest in art, enjoyed traveling and taking trip with friends. She is survived by four children, Barry L., husband of Diane L. Herr Myers, of Elizabethtown, Ronald J., husband of Patsy A. Roth Myers, of Elizabethtown, Diane K., wife of Mark Empson, of Westfield, PA, and Darlene F., wife of Brian Chapman, of Elizabethtown; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers, Amos Landis of Lancaster, and Daniel, husband of Lois Landis, of Leola, PA. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John W. Landis. A funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon, May 5, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church, 996 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA with Pastor Stephen Lane officiating. Interment will be private in Stauffer Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
