We are all deeply grateful for the precious memories of times spent with Helen. Even though we lived far away our summers would be spent in Manheim and there would always be plans that involved Helen. Helen and my mother would take the grandchildren to Dutch Wonderland and what fun they all had together. Every summer we planned breakfasts with Helen and Harry and we enjoyed that time together. We all looked forward to Helen's sand tarts at Christmas time and we always limited those delicious cookies so they would't be finished in one seating. Everyone in my family has been given something that Helen made--quilts, table runners,jewelry, and afghans--all so beautiful! I have always admired and loved Helen since I was 13 years old--her deep love of her family, her adventurous spirit,her artistic talent, her spirit of having fun and her love of the Lord. Helen was a blessing to our family and we are forever thankful for Helen's life.

Our lives are like quilts - bits and pieces, joy and sorrow, stitched with love. Helen's quilts have love in every stitch. I will cherish all the memories her quilting brought to my life.

I had the pleasure of being invited to sew with the Earhart women. I loved the way they all interacted and I could tell how much they enjoyed being together. I knew that each time we sewed, I would have the opportunity to learn Mrs. Earhart's opinion on some topic; she was a woman of strong convictions. I will miss her.

Staying with my grandparents for a week every summer was the highlight of my childhood summers!! Grandma always made sure I had plenty to do! I learned so much from being with them, keeping house and loving unconditionally.And she always made sure my bangs were cut above my eyes so you could see them! Thank you always for the time I had with the best grandma ever!
