Sylvia Otto, 90, of Akron, PA, formerly of Bronx, New York, passed to eternity on Friday evening, May 3, 2013 at Maple Farm Nursing Center in Akron following a lengthy illness. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Theresa E. Astarita Cordovano. She was the wife of the late Carl Otto who died March 12, 1976.
A homemaker, Sylvia was a member of St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church in Bronx prior to moving to Lancaster County, PA six years ago.
She is survived by a loving daughter, Carole A., wife of Bruce V. Mirra, of Ephrata, PA; two grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Vitagliano.
Private graveside service will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx. There will be no viewing.
