I remember when we did so much walking in Gapan as Len, Ampy and I went door-to-door. Len joined a group of elderly men who were drinking and brought a bottle of coca cola with him so that he could "drink" with them and share the Gospel. He taught me a lot in my first term as a missionary. It's hard to believe that it has been a year. Amy Miller

Len was my first team leader in the Philippines and I learned a lot about planting churches and Bible studies from him. We are sad to lose him, but know that we will see him in heaven. May God give you the comfort and peace during your time of grief.

Was happy to first know Len through First Baptist Church of Newtown Township when he visited during a mission conference and then many years later we were in the same small group at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA.

General MacArthur said that "old soldiers would just fade away". Your Dad faithfully served God with little fanfare or recognition. He raised a wonderful family with two wonderful sons. His life was about serving God. While in the end his life just faded away the heritage he left his family will never be forgotten. I think God for Len Norton and the heritage he has left. He certainly made a difference in this world. Bless you all.

Two significant events out of hundreds of experiences I've had with Len stand out in my mind. The first was in my freshman year. We had just returned from photographing a soccer game and were headed up to develop film in the darkroom. As we went one direction Len pointed out a young woman walking down the hall the opposite direction and remarked, "That's Dean Mason's daughter." It meant little to me then but the next year that girl entered as a freshman and five years later became my wife. The second was either the last visit or next to last visit I had with Len. He arranged a meeting with my former roommate in college. We had a strained relationship through all our college years and beyond. Through Len's encouragement, we all met together. The result of that meeting brought tears of reconciliation and a rich time of prayer together with all three of us. I am now the only survivor of the unique meeting.
