Obituary of Edith I. Vargas

Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edith I. Vargas, 90, of Lititz, PA, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Lancashire Hall in Lancaster, PA. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Frederick A. and Rose Gardner Mohler. She was the wife of the late Andy B. Vargas who preceded her in death in 2006. Edith was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Lancaster. She enjoyed her work as a caregiver to the elderly. Because she felt her clients needed her, she did not stop working until it was necessary at age 81. She also enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, casinos, and dancing. She was a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 1690. Edith is survived by two daughters, Carol A. Macrina of Lancaster, Wendy L. Boyd of Lititz; a son, John H. McFalls, Jr. of Lancaster; and a granddaughter, Lisa M. Thornton of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a son, William A. Boyd, Jr. in 1982; a daughter, Laurel L. Findley in 1969; a granddaughter, Jennifer L. Daugherty in 2005; and a brother, Frederick A. Mohler, Jr. Interment will be private at Riverview Burial Park in Lancaster. Please omit flowers.
