Obituary of Theresa W. Shreeves

Theresa Wander Shreeves, 76, passed away on Saturday afternoon, January 11, 2014, at Elmcroft of Lebanon after a courageous eight month battle with cancer. She was born on May 3, 1937 to the late Richard and Theresa Schaller Wander in Philadelphia, PA, where she resided until retiring to Gretna Springs Community in Lebanon County, PA 22 years ago. Theresa was preceded in death by her loving husband, George W. Shreeves, in 1999 after 24 years of marriage. For 31 years, she was employed by Bell Atlantic in Philadelphia in the Accounting and Directory Departments. An avid bowler, she followed friends who bowl in the TGIF bowling league. Theresa was a member of Ruhl's United Methodist Church in Manheim, PA, and a life member of the Lebanon Senior Center. She was an active member of both the Singles Group of Gretna Springs and TOPS, Chapter PA 1110, Lebanon. She is survived by a step-son, Gary Shreeves, fiancé of Stacey Salome, of South Carolina; a step-daughter, Lisa, wife of Alan Tighe of New Jersey; three step grandchildren; and a loving network of friends. A funeral will be held on Tuesday morning, January 14, 2014 at 11:30 am at Ruhl's United Methodist Church, 4810 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, PA. Interment will following in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:30 am until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
