Almost 30 years ago, I was welcomed to the Shaffer family as Myrl's husband. I always felt valued by Ma & Pa Shaffer. Their family values are ones I have tried to follow. In my view, Myrl's parents represented an ideal family model led by Christ. And they will be missed.
