Robert H. Dickinson, Sr., 73, of Lititz, PA, formerly of Manheim, PA, went to heaven to join his beloved wife on Thursday afternoon, February 13, 2014 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late George and Mary Hood Dickinson. He was the loving husband of the late Anne Louise Jobin Dickinson for 50 years prior to her passing in 2013.
Bob attended Trinity Evangelical Church in Manheim. He was employed in the meat department at Giant in Lititz until his illness. Previously, he was employed as a glazier by Berwyn Glass Company in Berwyn, PA, and as a printer in Union City, CA. In his early years, he coached his son's sports teams. His life centered around his beloved wife and following the professional sports teams of Philadelphia.
He is survived by three children, Robert H. Dickinson, Jr. of Gordonville, PA, Ellen Dickinson of Manheim, and Patricia, wife of Daryl Sensenig, with whom he lived; four grandchildren, one great granddaughter; and three brothers, George, husband of Ellen Ann Dickinson, of Springfield, PA, Gerald, husband of Bonnie Dickinson, of Denver, CO, and James Dickinson of Springfield. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Mary Dickinson O'Shea and William Dickinson.
