Obituary of Robert George Rob" Redick II

Robert George "Rob" Redick, II, age 60, of Harrisburg, PA, formerly of Johnstown, died Friday afternoon, June 20, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained following an accidental fall at a construction site where he was working. Born in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Robert George, Sr. and Betty Lou Cauffiel Redick. Rob was an active member of Life Center Ministries in Harrisburg. He attended Ohio University and graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associate's Degree in in Applied Science in Building Construction Technology and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. Rob expanded upon his education to become a self-employed building contractor. Rob had a lifelong interest in music. At a young age, he was playing piano and organ for audiences across the Johnstown area. He was also a certified open water scuba diver. Mostly, he will be remembered as being a friend to everyone and always willing to help others in need, including generously supporting many charitable organizations. He will be sadly missed by his four siblings, Jennifer L. Redick, of Pittsburgh, Janet L., wife of Richard C. Good, of Johnstown, Thomas E., husband of Sherry L. Redick, of Johnstown, and Timothy D., husband of Tanya Redick, of Jacksonville, NC; eight nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Life Center Ministries, 411 South 40th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111. There will be no viewing. The family will receive guests at Life Center Ministries on Friday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. There will also be a memorial service on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, 3429 Elton Road, Johnstown, PA. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
