Obituary of Emily V. Guzzetti

Emily V. (Frey) Smith Guzzetti, 96, of Moravian Manor, Lititz, PA died peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2015. Emily was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry S. Smith Sr. of York who passed in 1962 and her second husband, Thomas Guzzetti of Shillington who passed in 1998. She was born in Manor Township, Lancaster County on March 5th 1919, to the late Abram A. and Emma D. (Kendig) Frey. She is survived by two children, Harry S. Smith, Jr. and his wife Charlotte, of Hellam PA, and E. Virginia Smith of Lancaster; one grandchild, Joshua Smith; and two great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Irene K (Frey) Witmer. Prior to her retirement, she was self employed as an interior designer, first having a shop in York and later in Hellam. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, White Rose Chapter No. 360 in York. She enjoyed collecting antiques and watching baseball and basketball. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Steinman Hall of Moravian Manor, 300 West Lemon Street, Lititz, PA with The Rev. Richard Thierolf officiating. There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
