Georgia L. Prentice, 67, of Manheim, PA, formerly of Hatboro, passed away on Friday morning, February 26, 2016 at Bob Fryer and Family Inpatient Center in Mount Joy following a six year illness. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George and Eleanor Maiden Maurer. She was the wife of Michael N. Prentice for 47 years on December 14.
Georgia earned an Associate's degree from the former Pierce Junior College in Philadelphia. She was employed as an administrative assistant by Proctor and Gamble in Hatboro for nearly 15 years and by Weyerhaeuser in Ephrata for more than 10 years. In addition to reading and solving crossword puzzles, she enjoyed traveling and camping. She was also an avid Indy Car Racing fan.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Paige, wife of Jeffrey Formicone, of Reinholds, and Eric, husband of Adriana Veneziale Prentice, of Perkiomenville; two grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley, wife of Bruce Miller, of Perkasie. She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Tuttle.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Pleas omit flowers.
