Obituary of Glenna V. Lilly

Glenna V. Lilly, 78, of Hershey, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, March 24, 2016 at Masonic Health Care Center in Elizabethtown. Born in New Stanton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Audrey J. Frye Smith. She was the wife of the late Elcanie M. Lilly who died May 18, 1991. Glenna was a member of Union Deposit United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Hershey Chapter No. 509. She was employed by Derry Township School District and retired from the Reese Candy Company. Glenna loved collecting antiques and glassware and was known for her baked goods. She is survived by three children, Glenna, wife of Charles Rudy, of Duncannon, Brenda J. McMullen of Mount Joy, and Gregory Lilly, partner of Lisa Carl, of Duncannon; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and three siblings, Audrey Joan, wife of Robert Markel, of Belle Vernon, Dorothy R. wife of Robert Leighty, of Smithton, and Wilbur C. , husband of Laura Smith, of Everett. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Patrick McMullen. A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, April 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM at John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA with Chaplain Timothy Nickel officiating. Private interment will be in Hershey Cemetery, Hershey, PA. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive guests at Sell Chapel on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
