Earle and Family - I am devastated. Just learned that my dear friend during Longaberger years has passed! I cannot imagine how it has affected your family. You are all so close. She always sent me a picture card of the family each Christmas since we've been friends. I always looked forward to it. I will always remember all the times that we had together and all the fun. The memories will last until I join her with our dear Lord. May the Holy Spirit hold all of you close and help to ease your pain. I will keep you in prayer... Love to you all from Wilma, who loved Charlene as a sister.

We will always remember her pleasant, warm, outgoing personality, the energy and her laughter, her stand for the Lord, her helpfulness and all the good times spent - especially the Alaskan trip. But then so many years of Longaberger memories - the Bees, Jams, basket trips. The first Bee I attended in 1989 was truly how I came to know her - it was she who helped me find a room with some of her ladies and I remember how she was sewing liners and before she left that year she was freezing corn - I was impressed by her talents! Many conversations included her children and her grandchildren!

Charlene is gone from our sight, but not from our hearts! Fond memories will remain with Cathy especially of the many delightful times she had with Charlene. "The memory of those who have given of themselves to others will live forever in every single heart they have touched." Our heartfelt sympathy to Earl and the family as we together mourn the homegoing of your precious loved one.

I have very fond memories of Charlene from sharing our homeroom classes, 7th through 12th grades at WHS, to our many Longenberger experiences. She has active and energetic. Charlene shared many of her smiles and laughter with anyone she met. I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to her family. May your sadness be comforted by all the wonderful times you shared with her.

Thank you so much for choosing to have the webcast of the service for Charlene. I am Charlene's second cousin (my mother was a Becker/Heisey), but the way I really knew Charlene was that we were the same age and we both went to Warwick. I stayed overnight at the Diffenbach home a few times when Charlene and I were teens. For years, some of us who graduated in the same class would get together for talking and food. Then I went overseas in missionary service in 1979. When I came home in 1987, our little group got together again one more time. But then I lost touch with everyone when I moved to Virginia in 1992. The next time I saw Charlene was about seventeen years ago. A friend and I were selling fragrant salts at an outdoor market in Northern Virginia. I glanced up and standing there were Charlene and Earl! What a delightful, unexpected surprise! Of course, we chatted for a while. I reconnected again with Charlene several years ago thru Facebook. I always expected to see her again during one of my visits back to Pennsylvania. Sheryl, the memorial you gave at the service was beautiful and touching. I saw your mother's face and mannerisms in you. You summed up very well Charlene's personality, sense of humor, dedication to family, integrity, and faith. Thank you. How grateful I am that Charlene knew Jesus as her Savior and Lord. We will be with her again. This life is oh, so short compared to the forever that is eternal life.
