Obituary of Ethan R. McBeth

Ethan R. McBeth, 75, of Manheim, PA, formerly of Elizabethtown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, July 20, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving and caring family. Born in Nappanee, IN, he was the son of the late Rev. Paul W. and S. Esther McCulloh McBeth. He was the husband of Doris J. Lehman McBeth for 55 years on March 3. Ethan was a member of Wayside Presbyterian Church in Landisville. His career was devoted to being an independent sales representative. Ethan was a former member of the Elizabethtown Kiwanis Club and a charter member of the Norlanco-Rheems Kiwanis Club where he was Past President. He went on to serve Kiwanis as Lieutenant Governor of Division 16 and Pennsylvania District Governor in 2010. Currently, he was the PA chairman for the Eliminate Project which raises support to eliminate Maternal Neonatal Tetanus worldwide. Over his 39 years as a Kiwanian, he served faithfully in many other positions. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children and five grandchildren, Joy M., wife of Timothy C. Losh, of New Cumberland and their children Nicki and Jimmy; and David S., husband of Leisel A. Jacobs McBeth, of Maytown and their children Colin, Ryan, and Cara; and four siblings, David, husband of Lois McBeth, of Mechanicsburg, Rachel Brand of Glendale, AZ, Joseph, husband of Marie McBeth, of Chambersburg, and John McBeth of Akron. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017, 11:00 AM at Wayside Presbyterian Church, 600 Stony Battery Road, Landisville, PA with Rev. Dr. Stephen P. Fritz and Rev. Marlin K. Ressler officiating. Private interment will be in East Fairview Brethren Cemetery, Manheim. The family will receive guests during a viewing at the church on Sunday afternoon from 3-4:30 PM and on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
