Obituary of Hannah R. Greenawalt

Hannah R. Greenawalt, 74, of Elizabethtown, PA, passed away on Saturday morning, September 30, 2017 at Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Columbia. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Richard F., Sr. and Miriam M. Gouse Stone. She was the wife of Roscoe K. Greenawalt for 52 years on February 14. A homemaker, Hannah was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School. She was involved with the family business, Greenawalt Lawn Management. Earlier, she was employed by the former Crippled Children's Hospital in Elizabethtown, Cope's Corn, and Rheems Nursing Center, both in Rheems. In addition to playing games, solving puzzles, and birdwatching, Hannah enjoyed knitting, making music on her keyboard, and following NASCAR. She also enjoyed watching football, especially the Steelers and Penn State. She was fond of her canine companions, King, and especially, Lucy. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Roscoe K., Jr. "Ross", husband of Brenda K. Newcomer Greenawalt, of Elizabethtown; a granddaughter, Jami L. Greenawalt; and five siblings, Richard F., Jr. "Dick", husband of Sandy Stone, of Elizabethtown, John F., husband of Odette Stone, of Columbia, Sylvia A., wife of Aaron Greenawalt, of Wakefield, KS, Roy D., husband of Sheryl Stone, of Elizabethtown; and Sarah L. Stone, companion of the late Jim Morton, Jr., of Elizabethtown. Services are private. There is no public viewing.
