Obituary of Anna Mary Thompson

Anna Mary Thompson, 69, of Leola, PA went home to meet her loving Lord on Sunday evening, November 19, 2017 at Conestoga View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster surround by her family. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Henry S. and Grace Naomi Myer Smith. She was the wife of Richard Thompson for 46 years on January 23. A homemaker, Anna Mary attended Terre Hill Bible Fellowship. She was a graduate of Manheim Central High School and held various jobs throughout her lifetime. Her favorite pastimes included baking and creating crafts. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Melanie D. Simmons of Ephrata, Ryan S., Sr., husband of Lillian R. Blevins Thompson, of Narvon, Jeremy L. Thompson and Jonathan L. Thompson, both of Ephrata; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and four siblings, Henry C. Smith and John D. Smith, both of Roscoe, IL, James C. Smith of Mount Joy, and Esther M., wife of Edward A. Keyser, of Manheim. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Thompson, Jr.; a grandson, Matthew S. Thompson; and a great granddaughter, Austyn Naomi Grace Thompson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim with Rev. Edward A. Keyser officiating. Interment will be private in Mastersonville Brethren in Christ Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
