Obituary of Mark W. "Marco" Halterman

Mark W. "Marco" Halterman, 55, of Elizabethtown, PA, entered heaven unexpectedly on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Born in Columbia, he was the son of Patsy L. Williams Howe, wife of Charles A. "Sonny" Howe of Elizabethtown and the late Kenneth L. Halterman. A man of simple faith, he was employed as a supervisor by Allied Mechanical in State College. Mark was generous to others and the life of any party. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He is also survived by three children, Haleigh E., wife of Stephen Shimmel of Bellefonte, Max Halterman of Butler, and Mark W. Halterman, Jr. of Williamsport; three siblings, Patrick E. "Buzz" Halterman of Elizabethtown, Larry E. "Butch" Halterman of Lock Haven, and Elaina J. Shultz of Middletown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mark was also preceded in death by a brother, Nick L. Halterman. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11AM at Good's Mennonite Church, 4374 Bossler Road, Bainbridge. The family will receive guests at a viewing at the church on Friday morning from 10AM until the time of the service. Interment will immediately follow in Good's Mennonite Cemetery.
