Obituary of Amanda R. Brandt
Please share a memory of Amanda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Amanda R. Brandt, 38, of Elizabethtown, PA, entered the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center of natural causes. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of Timothy S. and Lisa R. Mull Forry of Mount Joy. She was the loving wife of Jason C. Brandt for 16 years on December 18.
Amanda was an active and faithful member of Community Bible Church in Marietta where she was a small group leader and mentor for 9th grade girls. She had a heart for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others, especially children. This passion was expressed in her mission trips to minister to children in Nicaragua, as a church camp counselor, and when volunteering with the Christmas Share and Care ministry of the church. Amanda was a 1998 graduate of Elizabethtown High School. She enjoyed spending time with family, attending her children's activities, camping, and trips to the shore. There has never been a mother more loved by her husband and children.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by three children, J. Cael Brandt, Reagan R. Brandt, and Jake Cyler Brandt, all at home; parents-in-law, Carl and Nancy Ginder Brandt of Manheim; brother, Scott, husband of Dena Wissler Forry, of York; paternal grandmother, Ruth Stoner Forry of Columbia; and seven nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday afternoon, March 11, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Community Bible Church, 331 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta, PA 17547. There will be no public viewing.
