Obituary of Ruth G. Stauffer

Ruth G. Stauffer, 91, of Manheim, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, March 14, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Lititz after a brief illness. Born in Conewago Twp., Dauphin County, she was the daughter of the late Hiram W. and Lizzie Ginder Gibble. She was the loving wife of Guy H. Stauffer for 73 years on March 10. A homemaker and farmer's wife, Ruth was a member of Chiques Church of the Brethren in Manheim. While living in Florida, she was an associate member of Good Shepherd Church of the Brethren and attended the Bible Baptist Church, both in Bradenton. Following graduation in 1944 from Elizabethtown High School, she found employment with the former RCA as an assembler until she was married. Later in her life, she was employed by Manheim Auto Auction in the cafeteria. She enjoyed entertaining and extending hospitality to friends and family in her home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Emmert Gibble, Ira Gibble, Hiram Gibble, Jr., Mary Hollinger, Miriam Aldinger, and Rufus Gibble. A memorial service will be held on Sunday afternoon, March 18, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim. Private interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. There will be no public viewing. A time of greeting and visitation will occur during a luncheon at the church immediately following the service.
