Obituary of June M. Colyer

June M. Colyer, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday morning, May 28, 2018 at the home of her daughter. June was born to the late John B. and Mabel Strunk Sewell in Cincinnati, Ohio, on February 23, 1930. Since trusting Jesus as her Savior at an early age, she was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support. She was an active member of Victory Church attending the Columbia Campus. June was blessed with a large and loving family. She was a loving, faithful wife to James A. Colyer who preceded her in death in 2010 after 61 years of marriage. She is survived by her sons Jim, husband of Judy Baker Colyer, of Denver, CO and Joe Colyer of Lancaster; her daughter, Phyllis wife of Gary Glass, of Columbia; daughter-in-law, Judie Foster Colyer of Ankeny, IA; her 11 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; and her brother Don, husband of Barbara Sewell of Roseville, CA. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, John; a granddaughter, Heather Colyer; and a brother, Jack Sewell. June, best known as "Mama", is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is in Heaven now! Celebration of Life Service will be at Victory Church Columbia Campus, 550 Linden Street, Columbia, PA 17512 on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of the service. Private interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster.
