Joan B. Ravin, 86, of Elizabethtown, PA, formerly of West Nanticoke died peacefully at home on Monday, July 9, 2018. Born April 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Estock) Cooper of Larksville and was preceded in death by her late husband of 50 years, John L. Ravin, DDS.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Ravin of Elizabethtown, and Judy Wysocki (Tom) of Marlton, NJ; her grandchildren, Jonathan (Kate) Hicks of Elizabethtown, Jennifer (Alex) Sheng of Belmont, MA, Peter Wysocki of Marlton, NJ, and Susan Wysocki of Tampa, FL; and two great-grandchildren, John Paul Hicks and David Hicks.
Her family remembers Joan as a very caring and generous person who always put others before herself. In her spare time, Joan could often be found on the golf course with her husband, John, or volunteering at Pope John Paul II school. She and her husband enjoyed traveling together and spending winters in Florida.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Faustina Parish, 520 S. Market St., Nanticoke, PA 18634 on Monday morning, August 13, 2018 at 11AM with a private internment. The family will receive guests at a visitation at the church on Monday morning from 10AM until the time of the service. There is no public viewing. Donations can be made to the food pantry of St. Faustina.
