Dear Don, Cherie, and Dean, I just read the Sunday paper and saw "Alethia G. White" listed within a large group of names. I am sitting here with tears and deep sadness. My mind is flashing with memories of Maytown Elementary School, deep discussions, yard sales, laughter, wonderful children, physical difficulties, hugs of support, twinkling eyes...ALL...NEVER to be forgotten no matter where life takes us. Thank you for sharing Alethia with me and many others. She was an example of what life long learning and optimism is all about. My heart aches for all of you. With profound sadness...Mary
