Obituary of Dorothy G. Miller

Dorothy G. Miller, 86, formerly of Manheim, PA, died Thursday evening, June 30, 2011 at ManorCare North in York, PA with her family by her side. Born in Mastersonville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry G. and Ada Mae Geib Nissley. She was the wife of the late Cyrus N. Miller who died in 1982. Dorothy received her education at the former Mastersonville School where she earned straight A's her entire eight years. Mrs. Miller was a former member of the former Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church in Manheim. Most recently, she attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Elizabethtown, PA. Dorothy was a seamstress for her entire adult life. She retired from Donegal Industries in Mount Joy, PA where she was employed for many years. She was a member of the International Garment Workers' Union. In addition to shopping and Bible prophesy, she enjoyed having lunch at Country Table Restaurant in Mount Joy and taking photographs, mostly of people and birds. She is survived by two children, Judith N., wife of Dwayne A. Beach, of York and Steven N., husband of Nanci J. Wagner, of Mount Joy; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; and one brother, Galen, husband of Arlene Nissley, of Manheim. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 425 Cloverleaf Road, Elizabethtown, PA. Interment will be in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Manheim. The family will receive guests at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
