Obituary of Richard P. "Dick" Falstick

Richard P. "Dick" Falstick, 73, of Lancaster, PA, unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord on Friday, July 15, 2011 of natural causes. Born in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Homer M. and Bessie M. Dickert Falstick.
Dick was a member of Carpenter Community Church in Talmage, PA. He was a 1956 graduate of Middletown (PA) High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from Elizabethtown College and a Master's degree in Education from Temple University. He was a teacher in the Lower Dauphin School District for 16 years and previously taught at Harford Christian School in Harford, MD. Dick had a keen interest in children and often attended sporting events in which his students competed. In addition to being a car buff, he was a gifted pianist, enjoyed listening to music, and spending time with his cousins, Gloria Falstick and Scott Falstick, both of Lancaster, Tracey Falstick Esbenshade, wife of Dean Esbenshade, of Mountville, PA, Janet Niel, Brenda Falstick George, and Jane Smith, all of Johnstown, PA. He was the last of his immediate family. He is also survived by friends, Gary and Debra Campbell of Manheim, PA.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday afternoon, July 24, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter Cemetery, 378 Glenbrook Road, Talmage, PA. A memorial service will be held following the interment at 4:00 PM in the adjacent Carpenter Community Church with Pastors Glenn A. Hoover and Dwayne A. Hoover officiating. There will be no viewing.
