Obituary of Aaron Richard Kreider
Aaron Richard Kreider, 37, of Mount Joy, PA, formerly of Hershey, was welcomed into the full presence of God’s love on Saturday evening, November 23, 2019 at Hershey Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Dale R. and Cheryl A. Roth Kreider of Hummelstown. He was the loving husband of Allison L. Shehan-Kreider who he married on August 24, 2019.
A 2000 graduate of Hershey High School, Aaron earned a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from Cedarville (OH) University in 2005. He was employed as an electrical engineer by Phoenix Contact in Middletown for 15 years and held several patents as a result of his vocational aptitude.
Aaron was a deeply spiritual and intellectual follower of Jesus Christ. He was driven to love others the way God loves. He found his greatest purpose and satisfaction in friendships, family, and community. He enjoyed the writings of Christian author, George MacDonald. Aaron’s passion for outdoor activities included hiking, kayaking, and cycling. He owned the title “audiophile” as a result of his deep interest in music. Above all, Aaron was an amazing and engaged father to his sons.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three sons, Xander A., Rhys R., and Daniel E.; a brother, Matthew D. Kreider of Marietta; a Paraguayan brother, Carlos Gamarra of London; maternal grandmother, Shirley A. Roth of Elizabethtown; paternal grandmother, Jeanette A. Kreider of Hummelstown; and parents-in-law, Gerald E. and Lise M. Cole Shehan of Dover, PA.
A gathering to celebrate Aaron’s life will be held on Saturday afternoon, November 30, 2019 at 3:30 PM at Mount Joy Mennonite Church, 320 Musser Road, Mount Joy, PA. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday afternoon from 2-3:15 PM. Please omit flowers.
