Obituary of Ella M. Mulberry

Ella Margaret (Stanton) Mulberry, 84, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday night, August 20, 2020. Born in River Rouge, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late George and Zadia (Logan) Stanton.  She was the wife of the late Gene Emerson Mulberry for 64 years, who preceded her in death in 2019.

Ella was a 1954 graduate of Romulus High School. She enjoyed sewing, reading. and Bible Study.  She began teaching Sunday School in her teens.

Ella delighted in her role as a spectacular wife and mother and was the family cheerleader, always encouraging her children and grandchildren in all their endeavors.  It could truly be said that she had, “No greater joy than to hear that [her] children walk in truth.” (3 John 1:4)  She was the family prayer warrior and boldly approached the Throne of God on their behalf. 

She is survived by her four children, Terri, wife of John McCumber, Lebanon, Pastor Bruce, husband of Terri (Gottier) Mulberry, Pottstown, Cheryl of Manheim, Pastor Errin, husband of Jennifer (Haufler) Mulberry, Yankton, SD; ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren; one brother, Robert, husband of Marlene (Skeels) Stanton, Hummelstown, and a nephew, Mark, husband of Holly (Garcia) Stanton, Emmaus.  She was also preceded in death by one brother, George Allen Stanton. 

Due to COVID restrictions a private Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 3 pm.
